Nominated for “Renovation project of the year” 2023. We're delighted to protect the heritage of this iconic building in Leyland. The project creates 14 characterful private apartments and supports Leyland's £38m town centre redevelopment plans.
Built in 1882 and dubbed 'The New Police Station'. The position of the station could be taken as an indication of the trouble expected from incomers off the trains, though more probably for the convenience of the officials coming to the "Courts" and "Sessions" that were held there. The street down the side of the station was named Hewitt after one of the first inspectors.
